The Bob Dylan Pages

Thursday April 6 Bob Dylan gave us enough spiritual nutrition to live on for a long time. The Royal Danish Opera House in Copenhagen provided the framework for an experience of musical and poetic greatness. The man himself has never been better, powerful and yet distant, concentrating on his music, well supported by a band of musicians knowing exactly what’s expected from them. The venue itself with its perfect acoustics played a not unimportant role in the succes.

The setlist brought us far and wide around the poet’s universe, from Blowin’ In The Wind over Desolation Row and Duquesne Whistle to the latest cover versions of song from the swinging forties and fifties.

After two hours without a break, I left the Opera full and satisfied.
